Simon Stockley originally painted this iconic house in his first year at Elam. He has since made five more versions with the last being this digital painting. Unfortunately in the last ten or more years, it has no longer pink and is now painted grey – invisible to the extent that people believe it has gone. It is art deco houses such as this that established the character of the neighbourhood.
Simon Stockley is an eclectic artist based in Auckland who works in a variety of mediums. Currently, he’s producing a series of digital prints as well as continuing his 25-year passion for computer-generated art.
